Present in the event were Michael Provido of NEDA, Benjamin Abadiano of Assisi Foundation and Zero Extreme Poverty Movement, Michelle Calizada of EVNET, and Nino Versoza of INCITEGov, who discussed on the localization of SDGs, Zero Extreme Poverty Movement, and social protection.
INCITEGov, who continues to work with government towards making the Sustainable Development Goals a reality in the country, presented its existing programs and efforts to the attendees, and tackled how these efforts may complement government plans.
According to Nino Verzosa, INCITEGov Program Officer, social protection programs remain to be one of the cornerstones and driving forces of achieving SDG Goal number 1: Ending Poverty and Hunger. Verzosa highlighted INCITEGov's vision and contribution in strengthening social protection programs for the vulnerable and the poor, which is through the additional access of indigent beneficiaries, review and crafting of more responsive social protection policies, and facilitation of deeper CSO-Government engagement.
