Governance Conversations on Key Reform Initiatives: Philippine National Budgeting Reforms

The International Center for Innovation, Transformation, and Excellence in Governance (INCITEGov) in partnership with Council of Fellows of Development Academy of the Philippines jumpstarted the series of Governance Conversations (GovCon) on Key Reform Initiatives. This is the first leg of the series of GovCon that is set to run until February 2016.

The first GovCon focuses on the Philippine National Budgeting Reforms. A key reform-oriented public servant from the Department of Budget and Management, ASec. Maxine Tanya Hamada, presented the updates on the Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB) and Budget Partnership Agreement. Dr. Rosario Manasan of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies, one of the resource speakers, also shared the assessment on the BuB.

The GovCon Series aim to frame the agenda on what key reform initiatives should be prioritized in the post 2016 elections.
